CCTA Implementation
Guidance
Historical Context
Early work to develop the concept of the
creating capable teams approach (CCTA) began in 2005 when it was
initially known as The Matrix before changing its name to The
Creating Capable Teams Toolkit (CCTT). Whilst the original
CCTT draft materials were piloted by a number of sites across
England these should not be confused with the 3 pilot teams who
field tested, the now published CCTA materials in 2006.
Following a complete review and rewrite of the
CCTT the CCTA was launched in April 2007 and is subsequently being
undertaken by a number of early implementer sites from the North
West region.
The following documents have been developed as
a result of the shared learning from the 2006 pilots and more
recently from the comprehensive, North West, early implementer
programme
The aim of the implementation guides is to
provide information that will support teams and facilitators to
undertake the process. All the documents are live and will be
regularly updated as more information is gathered from facilitators
and teams
