Integrated Team Monitoring & Assessment
(ITMA)
The ITMA is a relatively simple and
cost-effective way of assessing the effectiveness of team working.
It enables a rapid appraisal of the ‘health’ of a team and
identifies areas of difficulty covering both internal functioning
and external factors, thereby enabling a focus upon remedial action
commensurate with the significance of the problems.
The ITMA can be used to help to determine team
readiness in relation to implementing the CCTA and to identify any
issues that may need addressing prior to commencing Step 1 of the
CCTA.

Effective Team Working & Leadership Programme
(ETL)
CCTA is a programme for mature teams, in other
words, for teams who already meet regularly, who can engage in
discussion, debate, respect their differences & make team
decisions. It is also helpful if they have clear understanding of
their purpose, mission & values (see page 1:4 CCTA executive
summary for further information)
The ETL is a stand alone, 7 day programme, to
improve team working and the understanding and development of
leaders. However, elements of it can be used to get teams - the
workforce - to the point of maturity as described above, so that
they can make the best use of the CCTA. In ETL components the whole
team tackles exercises & improves understanding through
presentations. The process of all this activity enhances
communication, identity & ownership of team
effectiveness.
